CPR / AED Training
This course is designed as such to gain familiarty with automated external defibrillators (AED’s).
You will gain practical hands on experience with a training version of an AED and experience in the placement of pads and theoretical use on a manikin whilst running through real life scenarios. You will also gain beneficial skills for beginners in unconscious casualties in key aspects of primary survey (ABC’s), CPR and recovery position.
Who should attend?
This course is designed for those who wish to gain an understanding of how to use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED and learn how to look after an unresponsive (unconscious) casualty whilst awaiting an ambulance.
A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. A person's chance of survival falls by about 10%* for each minute that passes without defibrillation.
No previous first aid knowledge is needed to attend an AED course.
What you will learn?
On completion of training, successful candidates will be able to:
Manage an incident.
State the priorities of first aid, including primary/secondary surveys and recovery position.
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Deal with disorders of the airway, including choking deal with disorders of circulation, including strokes, shocks and heart attacks.
Demonstrate the correct use of an AED.

Assessment
Students who attended our first aid courses will be assessed throughout the course and are required to pass a final practical assessment and multiple choice question paper.
Candidates need a basic command of English. Please contact us if you need any extra guidance.
Certification
Successful candidates receive a Nightingale Medics ‘CPR / AED Training’ certificate, valid for three years.
There is a minimum group booking of 10 candidates required for each course.
